Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2009, Finland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.3% compared to 2008, reaching 26.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Finland ranks 10th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.4% (from 26.7% in 2004).
