Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Denmark's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.7% compared to 2015, reaching 6.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Denmark ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 86.5% (from 3.6% in 2011).
