Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Greece's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 20.4% compared to 2018, reaching 31.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Greece ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 42.7% (from 21.9% in 2014).
