Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Greece's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 3.5% compared to 2022, reaching 3.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Greece ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.0% (from 4.1% in 2018).
