Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2008, Hungary's population change increased by 2.1% compared to 2007, reaching 9.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.6.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.5% (from 9.3 in 2003).
