Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 14.8% compared to 2020, reaching 13.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Hungary ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 87.3% (from 7.3% in 2016).
