Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 2.9% compared to 2020, reaching 22.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Slovakia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.5% (from 22.5% in 2016).
