Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 26.0% compared to 2021, reaching 7.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Hungary ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 7.7% in 2017).
