Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2024, Hungary's unemployment by sex and age increased by 9.8% compared to 2023, reaching 4.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 5.9%.

Hungary ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 36.4% (from 3.3% in 2019).
