At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2013, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.7% compared to 2012, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Ireland ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.1% (from 18.0% in 2008).
