Population structure indicators at national level

In 2014, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 3.4% compared to 2013, reaching 21.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.8.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.2% (from 17.7 in 2009).
