Population structure indicators at national level

In 2018, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.6% compared to 2017, reaching 23.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 33.5.

Ireland ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.2% (from 20.4 in 2013).
