Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Ireland's main indicators increased by 5.2% compared to 2015, reaching 27.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Ireland ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 48.3% (from 18.3% in 2011).
