Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Ireland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.0% compared to 2017, reaching 10.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.1%.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 45.5% (from 7.5% in 2013).
