Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Sweden's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.0% compared to 2017, reaching 53.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.1%.

Sweden ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.5% (from 50.2% in 2013).
