Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2019, Ireland's main indicators increased by 9.5% compared to 2018, reaching 12.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.9%.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 40.7% (from 8.5% in 2014).
