Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2021, Ireland's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 6.0% compared to 2020, reaching 52.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 33.6%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.3% (from 45.1% in 2016).
