Population structure indicators at national level

In 2021, Italy's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.8% compared to 2020, reaching 40.1.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 35.4.

Italy ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.5% (from 37.3 in 2016).
