Population structure indicators at national level

In 2021, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.3% compared to 2020, reaching 39.7.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 35.4.

Portugal ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.1% (from 35.1 in 2016).
