Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.8% compared to 2021, reaching 10.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Italy ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 55.0% (from 6.5% in 2017).
