Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.9% compared to 2022, reaching 10.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Italy ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 36.2% (from 7.7% in 2018).
