Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2021, Italy's employment rates by educational attainment level increased by 1.5% compared to 2020, reaching 82.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.5%.

Italy ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.9% (from 79.8% in 2016).
