Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Romania's unemployment by sex and age increased by 2.9% compared to 2019, reaching 21.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Romania ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 20.9% (from 27.3% in 2015).
