Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, Latvia's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.6% compared to 2023, reaching 72.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.3%.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.2% (from 73.9% in 2019).
