Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Latvia's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.6% compared to 2024, reaching 72.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.4%.

Latvia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.5% (from 73.1% in 2020).
