Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 0.0% compared to 2020, reaching 42.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.9%.

Latvia ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.4% (from 37.1% in 2016).
