Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 51.5% compared to 2021, reaching 3.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Latvia ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 37.6% (from 2.3% in 2017).
