Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Luxembourg's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.7% compared to 2024, reaching 72.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.4%.

Luxembourg ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.1% (from 70.4% in 2020).
