Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 44.4% compared to 2017, reaching 8.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.1%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 155.9% (from 3.5% in 2013).
