Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 21.2% compared to 2018, reaching 7.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.9%.

Luxembourg ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 57.6% (from 4.5% in 2014).
