Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 9.3% compared to 2021, reaching 8.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Luxembourg ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 34.5% (from 6.5% in 2017).
