Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.7% compared to 2022, reaching 9.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Luxembourg ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 38.2% (from 6.6% in 2018).
