At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2018, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.6% compared to 2017, reaching 18.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Malta ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.4% (from 16.1% in 2013).
