Fertility indicators

In 1991, Malta's fertility indicators decreased by 1.5% compared to 1990, reaching 1.99.

Malta ranks 7th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.1% (from 1.93 in 1986).
