In 1991, Sweden's fertility indicators decreased by 0.9% compared to 1990, reaching 2.11.

Sweden ranks 2nd out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.2% (from 1.80 in 1986).
