At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, Netherlands's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 26.3% compared to 2022, reaching 12.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Netherlands ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.7% (from 10.8% in 2018).
