At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Netherlands's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.6% compared to 2023, reaching 12.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Netherlands ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.1% (from 11.8% in 2019).
