Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2021, Netherlands's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 12.3% compared to 2020, reaching 9.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Netherlands ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.1% (from 12.1% in 2016).
