At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.8% compared to 2024, reaching 14.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Portugal ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.1% (from 15.6% in 2020).
