At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.6% compared to 2024, reaching 18.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Romania ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.0% (from 24.6% in 2020).
