Population structure indicators at national level

In 2009, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 3.6% compared to 2008, reaching 40.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.0.

Romania ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.3% (from 35.4 in 2004).
