Population structure indicators at national level

In 2008, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 3.8% compared to 2007, reaching 38.7.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.6.

Romania ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.6% (from 35.3 in 2003).
