Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Romania's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.8% compared to 2019, reaching 43.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 37.4%.

Romania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 43.2% in 2015).
