Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2020, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.4% compared to 2019, reaching 23.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.4%.

Slovakia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.8% (from 22.7% in 2015).
