Fertility indicators

In 1999, Spain's fertility indicators increased by 3.5% compared to 1998, reaching 1.17.

Spain ranks 23rd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.7% (from 1.19 in 1994).
