Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Spain's main indicators increased by 17.3% compared to 2008, reaching 27.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Spain ranks 9th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 46.6% (from 19.0% in 2004).
