Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Spain's main indicators increased by 4.9% compared to 2015, reaching 17.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.0%.

Spain ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 29.1% (from 13.2% in 2011).
