Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Spain's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 3.4% compared to 2020, reaching 9.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 9.1%.

Spain ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 78.2% (from 5.2% in 2016).
