In 2022, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 23.3% compared to 2021, reaching 15.9%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.3%.
Sweden ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.6% (from 15.8% in 2017).
