In 2021, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 15.7% compared to 2020, reaching 12.9%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.
Sweden ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.2% (from 16.8% in 2016).
